Cold or hot micro or macro perforation units

 Converting made easy for you

The most simple and cost effective method of micro or macro perforation is with pinned tooling, which is available as either a roller or plate. These tools can be integrated into an existing line of machinery, or built as a stand alone unit. There are two types of pin perforation processes: hot and cold.

Whether hot-needle or cold-needle perforation is required, is dependent on the application. Because needle segments can be supplied with a wide variety of sizes and patterns, a single machine is capable of producing a wide range of perforation patterns. Conical needles can produce holes with different diameters.

Perforated plastic foil is often used to package fresh products, such as bakery products, vegetables and flowers.
The perforations allow moisture from the product to escape from the packaging, which prevents the foil from misting over, but without affecting the fresh-keeping effect. Flowers and vegetables stay fresh longer, and bakery products remains crusty.
